The Mercury Theatre, built in 1851, was originally constructed as the school attached to Horbury Chapel. In 1929, it became home to :arie Ra;bert’s Russian School of Dancing’ later known as Ballet Rambert. Ashley Dukes, her husband, bafously staged :urder in the Cathedral by their friend T.S.Eliot, at the Mercury Theatre.
